More than 80 artists reached Saras Mela

Patiala, February 20- Artists from different states of the country brought to Saras Mela by the North Zone Cultural Center are entertaining thousands of visitors to the fair by giving cultural presentations on the stage every day, while in the field away from the stage, Been Jogis are captivating the audience by exhibiting their art and multi-faceted figures are becoming the center of attraction for children.

Patiala, February 20- Artists from different states of the country brought to Saras Mela by the North Zone Cultural Center are entertaining thousands of visitors to the fair by giving cultural presentations on the stage every day, while in the field away from the stage, Been Jogis are captivating the audience by exhibiting their art and multi-faceted figures are becoming the center of attraction for children.
Assistant Director of NZCC Ravinder Sharma said that more than 80 artists from different states are giving their presentations in Saras Mela and four multi-faceted figures are roaming around the fair and entertaining people, especially children. Apart from this, a 10-member team of Been Jogis from Faridabad, Haryana is attracting the audience with their magical tunes.
Fair Officer of Saras Mela, Additional Deputy Commissioner Anuprita Johal said that in this Saras Mela being organized under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav, artisans, craftsmen and artists coming from far and wide are being warmly welcomed by the people of Patiala. He said that more than 150 stalls have been set up in various tents and more than 60 stalls in the open ground, from where thousands of people are buying and selling every day.
Appealing to the people of Patiala to participate in the Saras Mela in large numbers, he said that the artists and artisans from the country and abroad can be encouraged only by participating in the fair.
