Patiala, February 18- In the Saras Mela being held at Sheesh Mahal, folk dance and folk art artists from different states are entertaining the people who have come to see the fair every morning. Along with this, in the evening, folk singers of Punjab are connecting artists from other states and thousands of fair lovers with the rich culture of Punjab through their singing.

Nodal officer of the festival, Additional Deputy Commissioner Anuprita Johal said that so far cultural folk song performances have been given by Satwinder Bugga, Glory Bawa, Gurjeet Jeeti in Saras Mela. She said that on February 19, folk singer Mohammad Irshad and on February 21, famous Punjabi actor and singer Ranjit Bawa will perform.
She said that the ticket for Saras Mela will be Rs 100 from 3 pm on February 21 till the performance of singer Ranjit Bawa. Additional Deputy Commissioner Anuprita Johal said that in the fair, in collaboration with North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC), apart from folk dances and folk arts of different states, Rangoli, Bhangra, Gidda and singing competitions are also being organized for school and college students.
While inviting Patiala residents to enjoy the Saras Mela to the maximum, she said that the artisans and artists from India and abroad who have come to the fair should be encouraged by participating in the fair.
