
Talwara Municipal Council Election 2025: Nomination and Voting Program Announced
Hoshiarpur- Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Komal Mittal has issued necessary guidelines regarding the general elections of Municipal Council Talwara in the district. As per the notification issued by the Punjab State Election Commission, the elections of Talwara Municipal Council will be held on March 2, 2025.

The District Election Officer said that to ensure the transparency and fairness of the elections, the Punjab State Election Commission has appointed Tehsildar Mukerian Manish Kumar as the Returning Officer and BDPO Hajipur Vikram Singh as the Assistant Returning Officer.
The District Election Officer said that the work of final publication of voter lists has been completed on the basis of January 1, 2025. He said that all the necessary election materials have been arranged and instructions have also been given to the concerned officers. He said that adequate security arrangements have been made to conduct the elections peacefully.
District Election Officer Komal Mittal, while sharing important information regarding the elections, said that the election process will start from 17 February 2025 and will be completed by 3 March 2025. He said that nomination papers can be filed from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm on 17 February 2025 and the last date for filing nominations is 20 February 2025 till 3:00 pm.
The scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on 21 February 2025. The last date for withdrawal of nomination is 22 February 2025 till 3:00 pm. Voting will be held on 2 March 2025 from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. The counting of votes will be held on 2 March 2025 immediately after the end of voting on the same day. He said that the Model Code of Conduct has come into force in Talwara Municipal Council area. Which will remain in force till the end of the election process.
Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Election Officer Komal Mittal has appealed to all voters to actively participate in the democratic process. He said that use your vote and strengthen democracy. All necessary preparations have been completed by the administration to ensure fair, free and transparent elections.
