14 February Hoshiarpur- A delegation of District Sangharsh Committee led by President Karmveer Bali met SMO and apprised him of problems faced by patients in emergency.
On this occasion, Karmveer Bali demanded that life saving medicines be arranged in emergency, staff be arranged to bring critically ill patients from outside to emergency ward and presence of senior doctors be ensured to take care of patients in emergency.
He said that due to shortage of senior doctors and other staff, patients are not being taken care of properly in emergency, patients are either referred to Amritsar or to private hospitals. He demanded that such pressure on the relatives of patients should be stopped. On this occasion, the delegation also met the Civil Surgeon and apprised him of shortage of staff in emergency.
On this occasion, the Civil Surgeon assured that shortage of staff in emergency will be fulfilled soon and no patient will be allowed to face any kind of problem. Madan Dutta, Nirmal Singh etc. were present on this occasion.
