Patiala, February 6- Additional District Magistrate Isha Singal, exercising powers vested under Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023, has prohibited the entry of heavy vehicles from 8 am to 8 pm in the areas from Rajpura Chungi to Old Bus Stand, Old Bus Stand to Fuara Chowk (Mall Road), Fuara Chowk Lower Mall to Mahindra College and Mahindra College to Sanori Station.
These orders, which will remain in force till April 5, state that the movement of heavy vehicles has increased significantly in the urban area of ????Patiala district, the arrival of these vehicles in the city during the day is causing a lot of disruption in the movement of general traffic, due to which traffic jams persist for a long time.
Due to these traffic jams, not only the work of the general public is affected, but there is also a hindrance in taking the sick/elderly/patients/ambulances/school children from one place to another on time, in such a situation there is a danger of law and order situation deteriorating. Therefore, this ban has been imposed.
