Nawanshahr- Under the leadership of District Education Officer Samagra Shiksha Office Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, IED component of Education Department and ELIMCO organized goods distribution camp for Divyang children. In which Mr. Krishna Moriya, Mr. Gautam Pandey, Mr. Mahavir were present in ELIMCO doctor team.
The goods distribution camp for Divyang children was successfully completed under the supervision of DSE Narinder Kaur and DSE T Rajni. In which a total of 19 children with special needs of Block Balachaur 1 and 2, Saroya were given assistive materials. In which T.L.M. Kit-1, Crutches-2, Wheel Chair-1, Rollator-4, CP Chair-1, Hearing Aid-8 materials were given.
Deputy District Education Officer Rajesh Kumar said that children can avail the benefits of the facilities provided by the Education Department only when they get enrolled in a government school. Divyang children are an integral part of our society. The Government and the Education Department are making great efforts to improve the living standards of these children and to ensure access of Divyang children to schools. Groups of IERT and IEAT from Block Saroya, Balachaur 1 and 2 were present in the camp.
