S. Chaman Singh (Project Director) while addressing the students and teachers of the school told about the organization of Red Cross and the activities being done by Red Cross. He gave the statistics of drug addicts in India and Punjab and told how many youths have been trapped in the trap of drugs. He said that today the results are coming out that in the de-addiction centers, drug addicts are getting trapped in the quagmire of drugs at a young age.
Therefore, it is important to give information about drugs to the students along with school education. Sharing his views, he said that many youths start taking drugs at a young age after seeing their parents taking drugs at home and gradually they get trapped in the quagmire of big drugs like heroin. Therefore, it is very important to make students aware about drugs.
He appealed to the students to also become a part of the Drug Free India campaign and also inspire the people around them to stay away from drugs, only then we can eliminate drugs from Punjab, because if we have to eliminate any evil, then first of all we have to start from our home. Students have to stay away from drugs to achieve their goal.
