Una, February 3- People in Una district will be able to get petrol and diesel in certified containers from petrol pumps for valid reasons. Regarding the sale of petrol and diesel in illegal packaging, it has been clarified that petrol and diesel can be sold in certified, approved and recognized containers only for valid purposes like industrial, agricultural or emergency use. This sale should be according to the standards set under the Petroleum Act, 1934 and Petroleum Rules, 2002. For this, the buyer will have to submit a valid reason and proof of requirement.
District Disaster Management Authority Chairman and Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal has issued an order in this regard. He said that the sale of petrol and diesel in the district will be strictly prohibited in open containers such as plastic bottles, cans or any other temporary packaging. However, people will be able to take petrol and diesel in certified containers for valid reasons. According to the orders, petrol and diesel will be distributed only in certified and authorized containers in accordance with the guidelines of the Petroleum Act, 1934 and Petroleum Rules, 2002. The Deputy Commissioner has instructed all petrol pump operators to ensure compliance with the orders.
