
Demand letter submitted to Chief Minister to take strict action against the accused who damaged the statue of Dr. Ambedkar Ji
Nawanshahr- Yesterday, organizations held a meeting in the name of Baba Sahib Ji in protest against the breaking of the statue of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Ji in Sri Amritsar Sahib and today submitted a demand letter to the Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Punjab and demanded strict action against the accused.
Nawanshahr- Yesterday, organizations held a meeting in the name of Baba Sahib Ji in protest against the breaking of the statue of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Ji in Sri Amritsar Sahib and today submitted a demand letter to the Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Punjab and demanded strict action against the accused.
The organizations have written in the demand letter that on January 26, the statue of Baba Sahib Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Ji was damaged and set on fire by the accused at Chhawda Chowk Sri Amritsar Sahib. The video of which was widely seen on Facebook and other social sites. Due to which the hearts of the victims have been deeply hurt. Mischievous elements have deliberately committed this heinous act. However, the said accused has been taken into custody by the police.
But the people who conspired behind this act and spoiled the atmosphere of the society are still sitting out of the reach of the police. We, the people of all social, religious and political organizations, demand from you that the criminal who carried out this heinous act should be punished according to the law and the people who have conspired behind this whole matter should also be exposed and strict action should be taken against them.
All the people in the society should be exposed so that those who spoil the atmosphere of Punjab can be arrested. Keeping this incident in mind, the security of all the statues of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar ji installed across Punjab should be ensured. The organizations that submitted the memorandum on this occasion included active members of Dr. Ambedkar Bhawan Charitable Trust Regd., Sahib Kanshi Ram Samaj Bly Society, Bhartiya Balmik Dharm Samaj (Bhavadhas), DPI Party Punjab, All India Human Rights Council, New Auto Workers Union and Dr. Ambedkar Mission Society along with a large number of other comrades.
