Mohali- Mohali MLA Kulwant Singh has strongly condemned the incident of desecration of the statue of Constitution maker Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar in Amritsar on the occasion of 76th Republic Day.
MLA Kulwant Singh said that this unfortunate incident has hurt the heart of every person who respects Baba Saheb Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the maker of the Indian Constitution. He said that the state government is committed to bring the culprits of this incident under the purview of law and get them severe punishment for this unfortunate act. Punjab Police is engaged in a thorough investigation of this incident.
The MLA said that no one is allowed to disturb the peace and tranquility of Punjab and the conspiracies of anti-Punjab forces to create communal tension will be foiled. The seeds of hatred cannot grow on the land of Gurus and Pirs of Punjab. He has appealed to the people of Punjab to maintain peace and harmony and maintain mutual brotherhood.
