PGIMER, Chandigarh- We are pleased to invite you to the First Ever Auditory Brainstem Implant Workshop in Asia Pacific, being organized jointly by the Department of ENT and the Department of Neurosurgery , PGIMER, Chandigarh, on 18th and 19th January 2025 .
This is the first time such a workshop is being conducted in the Asia Pacific region, having previously been held only in Germany. The workshop will feature Padmashree Professor Mohan Kameshwaran from MERF Chennai, India’s leading expert in auditory brainstem implants, and Professor Robert Behr, a world-renowned neurosurgeon from Germany, who has performed the highest number of these procedures globally.
Auditory Brainstem Implants (ABIs) provide critical solutions for patients with damaged cochleae or hearing nerves. This exclusive, invite-only workshop will host teams of ENT surgeons, neurosurgeons, and audiologists from AIIMS Delhi, SGPGI Lucknow, and Reliance Hospital Mumbai. The participants will undergo hands-on cadaver training under the guidance of Prof. Kameshwaran and Prof. Behr.
