Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, January 15: In view of National Road Safety Month-2025, District Police along with Senior Superintendent of Police Deepak Park, SP Traffic HS Mann, DSP Traffic Karnail Singh, Traffic Education Cell in-charge ASI Janak Raj, female constable Khushpreet Kaur along with VWC JS Khokhar organized a seminar with teachers and students in Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran and Government Senior Secondary School Jhanjeri SAS Nagar.
On this occasion, keeping in mind the foggy days, information was given about applying reflector tape, not driving under the influence of alcohol, traffic rules, not driving under the age of 18, getting compensation from the sale fund in case of an accident with an unknown vehicle, lane driving, not using pressure horns, environmental protection.
Apart from this, information was given about installing high security number plates on vehicles, wearing helmets on two-wheelers, parking vehicles properly instead of parking them on the road, using indicators while turning left and right, not violating red lights, not driving under the influence of any intoxicant, not bursting crackers on motorcycles or not modifying them.
The team appealed to strictly follow all traffic rules so that road accidents can be reduced. Information was given about calling helpline numbers 112 and 181 to get and give assistance from the police as well as calling 1930 for cyber crime.
