Four football players of Khalsa College played a great role in the Punjab University team which became champion in the inter-university football competitions.

Garhshankar- Four players of Babbar Akali Memorial Khalsa College Garhshankar contributed in making the team champion by playing a great game in the team of Punjab University Chandigarh which became champion by defeating four university teams in the North Zone Inter-University Football Competition held at GNA University Phagwara.

In these football competitions, college football coach Hardeep Singh Gill took the responsibility as the team manager of Punjab University Chandigarh. Coach Hardeep Singh Gill said that four football players of the college, Ravinder Singh, Harpreet Singh, Kamaldeep and Har Kamal Singh Badyal gave a great performance in football and led the team to victory.
He said that after defeating the Shimla University team in the knockout match, the Punjab University football team defeated the teams of Punjabi University Patiala, Guru Nanak Dev University Amritsar and GNA University Phagwara and achieved the distinction of becoming champion.
College Principal Dr. Amandeep Hira congratulated the entire team, University Football Coach Bhupinder Singh, College Football Coach and Team Manager Hardeep Singh Gill and the players for this wonderful achievement and encouraged them to achieve more in the future.
