This powder was used to increase the strength of the ID. This is an example of the use of online platforms by terrorists.
Online transactions and funding through VPN
Citing the attack on Gorakhnath temple in April 2022, FATF said that the accused made international funding of about ? 6.69 lakh for ISIS through PayPal. During this, the accused hid his location by using VPN. He also received money from foreign accounts and sent funds to ISIS supporters.
Explosives ordered from Amazon for Pulwama
The FATF has made a big revelation about the Pulwama terror attack in its report. It has said that the aluminum powder used in this suicide attack in 2019 was purchased from the e-commerce site Amazon.
This increased the power of the IED bomb. According to the report, the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed was behind this attack and the material required for the attack was purchased from online platforms.
