SAS Nagar, December 26, 2024: Commissioner MC Mohali along with Joint Commissioner; Assistant Commissioner; Municipal Town Planner and Group Town Planning officers/employees; launched a massive drive against unauthorised constructions in the villages falling under the Municipal Corporation limits.
Giving information in this regard, Commissioner T Benith said that the process of demolition of construction going on without approval in Matour and Kumbhara villages has been started. He said that the officers, especially the building inspectors, have been directed to take strict action against illegal constructions in the areas falling under the Municipal Corporation even on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
The Commissioner directed the officers/employees that no construction should be allowed without permission and action should be taken immediately as per law on any illegal construction. He said that negligence of any officer will not be tolerated.
