SAS Nagar, December 24: Gurdev Singh Chauhan, President of Help As Welfare Society, has demanded that the lake located in Sector 42, Chandigarh be cleaned.
In a statement issued here, he said that he had gone to the lake in Sector 42, Chandigarh for a walk with his family. When he reached there, he saw that there was no water in the lake and there was silt, stones and a lot of other debris in the empty lake. Along with this, there was a foul smell due to standing water in many places. He said that when he asked the people standing there why there was no water in it, five or six people said that water is released only during the days of Chhath Puja.
He has demanded from the Chandigarh Administration that this mini lake should be cleaned thoroughly and water should be released in it so that the people of this area can enjoy it here.
