He said that during these meetings, the union had drawn a program to surround the residence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in Sangrur due to no solution. The leaders said that the Punjab government had issued an advertisement for 5994 posts of ETT cadre, in which 3000 posts are fresh and 2994 are backlog. The demand of the union is that 2994 backlog posts should be de-reserved and the recruitment should be completed in a 'single list'. He said that School Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains had promised to complete the said recruitment within the month of July but his promise has not been fulfilled yet. Apart from this, during the assembly session, he had announced to join the said 5994 teachers in the schools during the month of July, which has not been completed yet. He said that the written examination for the recruitment of 5994 posts of ETT cadre was conducted on 5th March 2023 in various examination centers set up at Chandigarh and Mohali in a very transparent manner. About 7 months have passed since the said examination, but due to the punitive policies of the Punjab government and the school education department, the said recruitment has not gone ahead. The leaders said that before the AAP government came, the unemployed had high expectations from the government, but even after the AAP government came to power, the unemployed are forced to protest on the streets.
