These teachers had got these grades during the then government in 2011 after a long struggle of the organizations. Ever since the 'AAP' government came to power in Punjab, anti-employee and pensioner class letters are being issued which will not be accepted at any cost. Even during the promotions of Primary to Master Cadre, Master Cadre to Lecturer Cadre, the teaching class, especially women teachers, were allotted stations 100-150 km away despite the nearby stations being vacant.
The Government Teachers Union demands from the Education Minister that the station selection be conducted again for the teachers of remote stations. In view of the unprecedented gathering held by the Joint Teachers Front in the native village of the Education Minister, Gambhirpur on December 6, the Education Minister had given time for a meeting on December 16 to resolve the demands of the teachers. If no meaningful solution is found in this meeting, the struggle against the government will be intensified even more.
On this occasion, Onkar Singh, Harmanoj Kumar, Kirpal Singh, Jaswinder Singh, Jasvir Singh, Kulwinder Singh, Mahinder Pal, Karamvir Singh, Ajay Kumar, Sagli Ram, Dharamvir Singh, Surjit Singh, Sohan Singh, Baljinder Singh and many other teachers were present.
