Mohali banks exceed annual loan plan targets during second quarter of fiscal year 2024-25

SAS Nagar, December 12, 2024: Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Viraj S. Tidke reviewed the performance of the banks of the district for the last quarter during the 74th District Level Review and Advisory Committee (DLRAC)/District Advisory Committee (DCC) meeting held at the District Administrative Complex, Mohali today.

SAS Nagar, December 12, 2024: Additional Deputy Commissioner (J) Viraj S. Tidke reviewed the performance of the banks of the district for the last quarter during the 74th District Level Review and Advisory Committee (DLRAC)/District Advisory Committee (DCC) meeting held at the District Administrative Complex, Mohali today.
The key banking officials present in the meeting included Mr. Pankaj Anand (Circle Head, PNB), Mr. MK Bhardwaj (Chief LDM, Mohali), Mr. Manish Gupta (DDM, NABARD), Mrs. Garima (LDO, RBI), Mr. Upkar Singh (State Director, RSETI), and Mr. Amandeep Singh (Director, RSETI, Mohali) besides officials of various banks and concerned government departments.
Presenting the figures showing the progress of the banks, Chief LDM, Mohali, MK Bhardwaj said that the banks have surpassed the target set for the annual credit plan for the September quarter by achieving 64 percent as against 50 percent. Besides, the credit-deposit (CD) ratio in the district has increased to 105 percent as against the national target of 60 percent.
Dr. Ankita Kansal, Assistant Commissioner (J), SAS Nagar, appreciated the performance of the bankers and encouraged them to focus more on social security schemes. Chief LDM Mohali emphasized on the Prime Minister's SWANidhi and other financial inclusion schemes, while Mr. Pankaj Anand thanked the banks and urged them to make continuous efforts to improve the targets.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Viraj Shyamkaran Tidke asked the banks to meet the targets related to sponsored loan schemes recommended by various departments like Industries Department, Khadi Board, Dairy Development and other departments. He said that the schemes launched by the Government of India for various start-ups and employment schemes should be made aware to the people coming to the banks and should also be made available to the beneficiaries.
