Balongi, December 6: Inspector Amandeep Singh Kamboj today took over as SHO of Balongi police station. Speaking to local journalists on the occasion, he said that improving the law and order situation and controlling criminal incidents would be his priority and anti-social elements would be dealt with strictly.
He said that a meeting will be held soon with the PG owners in Balongi and instructions will be given to them that verification of the people staying in the PG should be done. And while keeping any person, his verification should be made mandatory and legal action will be taken against them if they do not do so.
He said that a major campaign will be launched against drug peddlers in the area under the jurisdiction of Balongi police station and drug peddlers will be arrested. Seeking cooperation from the general public in this regard, he said that the name of the person who gives information about drug peddlers will be kept confidential and no person selling drugs will be spared under any circumstances. He said that by establishing friendly relations with the common people, they will be trusted and if any kind of problem arises, due justice will be provided to the people by giving a full hearing to the people in the police station. He said that SSP Mohali Mr. Deepak Pareek has given special instructions to control the drug problem and those who consume and sell drugs will not be spared under any circumstances.
