Una, November 29: Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal has directed all the departments to implement all the flagship programs of the state government in Una district with full promptness. He held separate meetings of the district officials in this regard in the DRDA auditorium here today (Friday) and gave them necessary guidelines.

Apna Vidyalaya - The School Adoption Program
The Deputy Commissioner said that Apna Vidyalaya - The School Adoption Program is an important new program of the state government. In this, in the first phase, all the top government officials of the district will adopt one government school each. They will visit the school at least twice a month and interact with the children. They will take classes on the subject of their expertise and guide the children. Apart from this, they will cooperate in the all-round development of the school and in strengthening the quality education system there. In the first phase, 47 officials of the district have adopted one school each. Further, its scope will be increased. Other officials and schools will also be included in this. The Deputy Commissioner urged the officials to understand their responsibility for the success of this initiative and asked them to plan school visits.

Focus on hearing and resolving public problems
The Deputy Commissioner said that in the DC-SP conference held recently in Shimla, Chief Minister Mr. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has given instructions to focus on hearing and resolving public problems in the districts. In compliance with these instructions, the Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to fix a day to hear public problems in the offices, so that people coming from far-off places are aware of the officers' meeting in the office, so that they do not face any problem.
He said that he himself will be available to the public in his office for the whole day on Monday and Thursday of every week (except in some unavoidable circumstances). He will visit the district for development on the remaining days of the week. He also asked the police administration and all SDMs to fix a day for this. He said that he himself will go to the sub-divisions from time to time and listen to public problems in the SDM office.

Deal strictly with illegal mining and drug mafia
The Deputy Commissioner gave instructions to deal strictly with illegal mining and drug mafia in the district. He asked all SDMs to take action in coordination with the police. He said that the concerned SDM should go to the field. Do surprise inspections sooner or later.

The eligible should get the benefits of public welfare schemes on time
The Deputy Commissioner asked to ensure speed in the process of disposal of applications received in the public welfare schemes of the state government. He instructed to ensure that every application received in all the flagship programs including Mukhyamantri Sukh Ashray Yojana, Mukhyamantri Sukh Shiksha Yojana, Y.S. Parmar Vidyarthi Loan Yojana and Indira Gandhi Pyari Bahana Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana should be disposed of within a week. He said that Additional Deputy Commissioner Una has been made the nodal officer for monitoring the implementation of revenue and developmental projects along with flagship programs. He will review its progress every week.

Take corrective steps as per the standards of Good Governance Index
Jatin Lal instructed all the departments to take corrective steps as per the standards of Good Governance Index, so that Una district remains leading in the annual ranking to be done in the state. He asked to remove the shortcomings by looking at the standards of Good Governance Index in education, health, social welfare and law and order.

Every office should adopt e-office system
The Deputy Commissioner asked all the government offices of the district to adopt e-office system. He said that every office of the district should become e-office, all file work should be done through digital portal.

Give speed to the work of development projects under construction
Jatin Lal reviewed the progress of major development projects under construction in the district and directed to speed up the work. He reviewed the pace of the approach road, drinking water schemes and other works being built for the Bulk Drug Park project. The Deputy Commissioner also asked to complete the remaining work of PGI Satellite Center in a timely manner. He also took details of the steps taken towards the proposal of railway under bridge work and bypass construction. He also enquired about the status of the work done towards completing the procedural formalities regarding the construction of Mandli-Lathiani bridge. He also took details of the progress of the work of Kendriya Vidyalaya Bangana and Kendriya Vidyalaya Saloh and also reviewed other development works of the district.

District level wetland committee meeting and workshop
After this, the Deputy Commissioner chaired the meeting and workshop of the District Level Wetland Committee. The objective of this workshop was to provide practical information on wetland management and promotion to the committee members and to make them aware of their role.

In these meetings, Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahendra Pal Gurjar, Assistant Commissioner Varindra Sharma, all SDMs, CMOs, DFOs, Jal Shakti, Public Works and district level officers of all departments were present.
