S.A.S.Nagar, November 23, 2024: Taking a new step in the field of healthcare, the District Health Department has started Kidney Biopsy Services at District Hospital, Mohali. With this initiative, patients will get better treatment for kidney related problems. The first Kidney Biopsy was performed at the hospital today. It was successfully performed by Dr. Ankur Chaudhary, Consultant Nephrology.
This achievement reflects the hospital’s commitment to providing high-quality, specialized care to patients; Dr. H. S. Cheema, Senior Medical Officer in-charge, Civil Hospital Mohali, lauded the efforts of the entire Radiology team led by Dr. Ankur Chaudhary and Dr. Vijay Bhagat for the launch of this service.
He said that this facility will greatly benefit patients suffering from kidney diseases. Dr. Cheema said that the launch of Kidney Biopsy Services at the District Hospital is a significant step towards increasing access to advanced medical care for the people of Punjab.
It is worth mentioning that biopsy is a procedure in which a sample of body cells is taken and examined. The cells taken in the sample for biopsy are brought for examination to detect the disease. Biopsy can detect many diseases and their causes.
