 Giving information, District Yoga Supervisor Madhvi Singh said that in addition to 117 yoga classes in Hoshiarpur city, yoga in Dasuha, Mukerian, Tanda, Hajipur, Talwara, Bhunga, Haryana, Chabewal, Mahilpur and Garhshankar in Parka, Gurudwara Sahib, temples in the district. About 250 classes are being conducted. It aims to highlight the importance of meditation and yoga in improving the physical and mental health of citizens.
As an ancient practice, yoga has proven to be an effective means of improving one's quality of life. Through daily practice one can develop concentration and establish greater harmony with one's environment. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sardar Bhagwant Singh Mann, this scheme was launched in the state in the month of April last year, under which different districts of the state have been covered in different phases.
Madhvi Singh said that through CM's Yogashala, free yoga classes are being arranged for people at the place of their choice like parks, public places. He said that in Gurukul School Islamabad Hoshiarpur, group leader Dali Bedi and instructor Poornima conduct yoga classes daily from 5:30 am to 6:30 am. Jaswinder Kaur of Mohalla Sri Guru Ravidas Nagar said that she is a housewife and had a lot of pain in her cervical and elbow, but after practicing yoga for three months, her problem got rid of it.
Similarly, Gursimar of Mohalla says that he is a student. He used to have a lot of stiffness in his body, due to which he was very sluggish, but due to yoga, his body has also become flexible and he feels himself to be very smart.
Yoga supervisor Madhvi Singh said that if a person has a yoga class available and there is a group of at least 25 people, the Punjab government will send a yoga trade instructor home.
