Patiala, November 9 - Deputy Commissioner Dr Preeti Yadav said that it is very important to update the Aadhaar card from time to time. Citizens may face difficulties while availing the benefits of various services due to non-updating of Aadhaar card when required.
He said that children aged 5 to 7 years and 15 to 17 years are required to get their Aadhaar card updated (biometric) and it is updated free of cost in service centers and this service is available in all 42 service centers of the district.
Apart from this, he said that it is necessary to update the 10-year-old Aadhaar card and biometric and address proof can be updated in it. He appealed to the residents of the district to keep updating their mobile numbers and documents with Aadhaar to avail various government facilities.
The Deputy Commissioner said that this service is provided free of charge at the service center to those who make a new Aadhaar card. He urged Patiala residents to contact their nearest Seva Kendra to get their Aadhaar updated.
