Local people say that the police block the main road from Garhshankar to Sri Anandpur Sahib, Nangal Road, Nawanshahr Road and challan small vehicles. But overloaded and large tipper-trolleys without number plates pass by flouting the law by hoodwinking the police. On the other hand, the condition of roads is deteriorating due to overloaded tipper-trolleys. Some tippers are overloaded and scatter gravel on the roads, causing trouble to passersby.

It is noteworthy that when we spoke to SHO Baljinder Singh Malli of Gadhshankar Police Station, he said that we did not find any vehicle without number in Gadhshankar city. If any such vehicle is found, we will check its documents and take it into custody and take appropriate action.
