DC Celebrated Diwali with women inmates of the Central Jail and children in the crèche

Patiala, October 30 - Deputy Commissioner Dr. Priti Yadav wished Diwali to the women inmates at the Central Jail, Patiala here today, saying that she hopes that these women will lead a normal citizen's life in the society after serving their time in jail.

She said that he is in jail because of the mistakes She made in her life without wanting to, but now by taking a vow, She will spend her next life correcting his past mistakes and joining the mainstream of society. She shared the joy of Diwali with the children in the crèche in the jail and also handed them gifts and books and stationery etc. for reading. On this occasion, Jail Superintendent Varun Sharma and Red Cross Secretary Dr. Pritpal Singh was also present. 
Earlier Deputy Commissioner Dr. Preeti Yadav also celebrated Diwali with the newborn girls and adult girls staying at Yadvindra Puran Bal Niketan located at Lahori Gate here. Congratulating all the girls on Diwali and Bandi Chhod Day, he said that the district administration will provide all the necessary support for these girls. 
They also handed over sweets, gifts, stationery and other necessary items to Urmil Puri, the organizer of Yadvindra Puran Bal Niketan. ADC Navreet Kaur Sekhon was also present with him on this occasion.
