Desh Bhagat University organized "Green Diwali- Say No to Fireworks" Rally

Mandi Gobindgarh, October 30 - Placebo Club, School of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh organized “Diwali Utsav” in collaboration with the Institute’s Innovation Council and “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”. All the teachers and students were very excited on this day. The department was decorated with beautiful displays of art, rangoli and flowers.

Mandi Gobindgarh, October 30 - Placebo Club, School of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh organized “Diwali Utsav” in collaboration with the Institute’s Innovation Council and “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”. All the teachers and students were very excited on this day. The department was decorated with beautiful displays of art, rangoli and flowers.
The students participated in various competitions like Rangoli making competition, Deepak decoration competition, Candle decoration competition, Dress competition. Prizes were distributed to the winners as a token of love and inspiration. Dr. Zora Singh Chancellor, Dr. Tejinder Kaur Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Sandeep Singh Pradhan, Dr. Pooja Gulati (Principal, School of Pharmacy), Dr. Shailesh Kumar Gupta, Principal Sardar Lal Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy and Mrs. Khushpal, Principal Dr. Mata Jarnail’s College of Pharmacy were present on the occasion and gave blessings and Diwali wishes to the faculty and students and also motivated them to organize such events.
In the end Dr. Pooja Gulati congratulated and appreciated everyone for organizing this beautiful event. Meanwhile, students and faculty members of the Department of Business Management and Commerce of Desh Bhagat University took out a rally on the theme "Green Diwali - Say No to Crackers". Drawing attention to the ways to celebrate the festival of lights, the rally started from Saunti village and culminated at the university campus.
On the occasion, Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh congratulated the department and students for this good initiative. Dr. Rajni Saluja, Head of the Department of Business Management and Commerce, encouraged the students and faculty members to continue spreading awareness about sustainable practices. Dr. Manoj Kumar concluded the rally with a promise to the students to celebrate Diwali without crackers and inspire others in the society to do the same.
