Nawanshahr - Taking strict notice of keeping schools open despite holidays in government/semi-government/private/aided/unaided schools due to rising temperature, the district administration has issued a notice to three private schools for clarification. Giving information in this regard, District Education Officer (SE) Archana Agarwal said that due to the extreme heat, all the government/semi-government/private/aided/unaided schools of the state will have holidays and school holidays for children from 21st May 2024. A shutdown order has been issued. Despite this, it was complained that Scholar Public School Ladhana Jhika, Sutlej Public School Banga and Bhagwan Mahaveer Public School Banga three private schools have been opened which is in gross violation of government orders. He said that the health of children can be adversely affected with the increase in heat. The district administration has taken strict notice of this and the principals of the respective schools have been issued notices and asked to give their clarifications.
Deputy Commissioner Navjot Pal Singh Randhawa said that due to rising heat, children need more health care. A health advisory has already been issued regarding health care. Strict action will be taken against the said private schools after getting the clarification.
