Nawanshahr - Shaheed Bhagat Singh Education Service Society Banga organized an impressive function regarding the birthday of Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh Ji at Bibi Amar Kaur Memorial Hall Khatkar Kala. In which essay competitions were conducted by giving titles of different social issues to school children The first, second and third placed children were honored with medals and cash prizes After this, choreography was presented by Azad Rang Manch Kala Bhawan Phagwara in the stage program and poet court was performed by various poets.
 Remembering Shaheed Bhagat Singh, the chief guest of the event, Mrs. Tajinder Kaur, niece of Shaheed-e-Azam, asked the children to walk and write on the footprints of Bhagat Singh to enlighten the name of the nation. Prof. Jagmohan Singh, the nephew of Shaheed Bhagat Singh presided over the event and shed light on Bhagat Singh and his biography. And it was said to seek guidance from him.
The special guest Mr. Rajinder Pal Lakhanpal ji told how his father contributed to the freedom struggle along with Shaheed-e-Azam. Today, to fulfill the dreams of martyrs, children should acquire higher education and attain great positions.
