Ludhiana - In memory of Baba Mikho Ji, the annual Jod Mela of Momi Got Jatheriya was celebrated with great reverence at the Samadhi Sthal of Baba Mikho Ji in village Rania district Ludhiana. On this occasion, the Bhog of Shri Akhand Path Sahib Ji was offered. Later, the Dhadi group of Skinder Singh Lahara threw light on the life of Baba Mikho Ji through Dhadi art.
MLA of Gill constituency Jiwan Singh Sangowal, who arrived specially on this occasion, congratulated Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas and said that the Sikh community celebrates Bandi Chhor Divas with reverence and respect. Bandi Chhor Divas is associated with the sixth Guru Shri Guru Hargobind Sahib. The sixth Guru had reached Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Sri Amritsar on this day after releasing 52 kings with him from Gwalior Fort, on which the devotees expressed happiness by lighting ghee lamps. This tradition continues even today.
On this occasion, MLA Sangowal said that lakhs of devotees of Momi gotra Jathera from all over Punjab reach Baba Mikho ji's Samadhi with their families and make their lives successful by paying obeisance at Baba Mikho ji's Samadhi.
