District Legal Services Authority, SBS Nagar, Holds Awareness Rally-Cum-Walkathon in Village Langroa to Keep Common People and Youth Away from Drugs

Under the directions of the National Legal Services Authority and the Executive Chairman of Punjab State Legal Services Authority, S.B.S. Nagar District Legal Services Authority organized an awareness rally-cum-walkathon on October 22, 2024, with students from Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Village Langroa. The event aimed at spreading awareness among the general public and youth about staying away from drugs.

Under the directions of the National Legal Services Authority and the Executive Chairman of Punjab State Legal Services Authority, S.B.S. Nagar District Legal Services Authority organized an awareness rally-cum-walkathon on October 22, 2024, with students from Government Senior Secondary Smart School, Village Langroa. The event aimed at spreading awareness among the general public and youth about staying away from drugs.
The rally was flagged off by District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairperson of the District Legal Services Authority, Mrs. Priya Sood, who raised the flag to start the event. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Mr. Rajesh Dhiman, SSP Dr. Mehtab Singh, CGM-cum-Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority Dr. Amandeep, and all judicial officers were present. The office staff of the District Legal Services Authority, teachers, employees of Sanjh Kendra, and all Panchayat members of Village Langroa also participated in the rally.
While addressing the gathering, Mrs. Priya Sood, District and Sessions Judge-cum-Chairperson of the District Legal Services Authority, stated that the main objective of this rally was to raise awareness among the general public and youth about staying away from drugs. She further encouraged the youth to engage in some productive activity, stay away from bad company, and remain drug-free. She emphasized that the youth should actively participate in sports and foster a love for sports to lead a healthy life, rather than resorting to drugs.
She also expressed hope that these small efforts would lead to positive results in society, helping Punjab in its battle against drug addiction.
