
Free yoga camps will be organized in panchayats under 'Samarthya'
Una, October 21 - District administration Una has given a new extension to its special initiative 'Samarthya' and has added the initiative of organizing 7-day free yoga camps in every panchayat of the district. This new initiative, started with the slogan 'Adopt Yoga, Build a disease-free society', aims to improve physical and mental health in rural areas.

These camps will be organized with the cooperation of the District AYUSH Department, where experienced yoga instructors will teach yogasana, pranayama and meditation.
Deputy Commissioner and President of District Red Cross Society Una, Jatin Lal said that through 'Samarthya', efforts are being made to increase awareness about health in the rural society and make yoga a part of lifestyle. These camps will be organized at public places in all the gram panchayats of the district, where people will be made aware of its benefits by practicing yoga. Panchayat Pradhans have been given the responsibility to ensure seating arrangements and also ensure active participation of Mahila Mandals, Yuvak Mandals, Self Help Groups, and Anganwadi workers.

The Deputy Commissioner said that yoga is an integral part of our ancient culture and by practicing it regularly we can avoid many diseases. The aim of the administration is to enrich the lives of people through yoga and build a healthy and strong society.
*Features and benefits of the camp*
In the yoga camp in every panchayat of the district, there will be sessions of yogasana, pranayama and meditation by trained yoga teachers, which will be suitable for all age groups. Children, youth and the elderly can all participate in these sessions. These sessions will be completely free to spread the benefits of yoga to the people. A one-hour yoga session will be organized every day for seven days in each panchayat.
The Deputy Commissioner has requested the District Panchayat Officer, all Block Development Officers, Panchayat Pradhans and AYUSH Department officials to ensure the successful organization of yoga camps in their respective areas by mutual coordination. Information about dates and times will be given panchayat-wise by the AYUSH Department.
It is noteworthy that regular yoga practice helps in relieving physical and mental stress, increasing immunity, improving mental peace and ability to concentrate, as well as increasing physical flexibility and stamina.
