Mohali Police has arrested 3 people who stole a car at gunpoint

SAS Nagar, Oct 19 - Zirakpur police has solved the case of car robbery by three persons at sharp edged weapons from Chatt Light Airport Road, Zirakpur on the intervening night of September 29-30 and arrested the three car thieves. The three persons have been arrested and the stolen car has been recovered from them.

A case has been registered against the three persons under Sections 309(4), 3(5), 341(2) of IPC based on the statement of Ashok Kumar, a resident of Gadavan, Himachal Pradesh. According to the complainant, he drives a taxi and had to pick up a passenger from Airport, Mohali at 6 am on September 30 and when he was resting in his taxi on the service road near Chatt Light before picking up a passenger on September 3, the youths (who were carrying swords and knives and had gagged mouths) broke the conductor side window of his car and asked him to get down from the car and hand over the car keys and then fled with his car towards Mohali.
In this regard, action was being taken on the instructions of SSP Mohali Deepak Pareek. Inspector Harminder Singh, in-charge of CIS staff and team, while investigating through human intelligence and technical methods, arrested the persons responsible for the incident along with stolen car, mobile phones and sharp weapons.
During police interrogation, they admitted that they carry out robbery incidents by making a deal among themselves. These people told that they put fake number plate on the stolen car and a person who was coming to his house from Sector-67 Mohali with another partner, went after him on his motorcycle near Goyal Bakery Block-G Aerocity on the occasion of the festival, then snatched his mobile phone and valuables and fled.
These people have been identified as Prabhjot Singh alias Paras resident of Oli Mary School Bannur, District Patiala, Nitish Sharma alias Baman resident of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Colony Bannur and Akashdeep Sharma alias Akash resident of Goyal Colony Bannur, Police Station Bannur.
