Hoshiarpur- Originally mobile phones were designed to meet the need of communication, but over time they have become an integral part of the lives of people of all ages. Be it household work, office work, children's studies or any other work - nowadays people have become dependent on mobile phones for every work.
This digital dependence is affecting children the most. Experts say that children are becoming mentally and physically weak due to constant exposure to mobile phones. In view of this concern, Sur Sangam Trust has taken a positive initiative in the society.
Under the leadership of Nikian Karumbala, the trust has started a program to distribute educational books to children according to their age. The specialty of this program is that the books are first given to the teachers, who first read them themselves and then impart knowledge to the children according to their language and understanding. A special conversation was held with famous writer, intellectual and educationist Baljinder Mann about this initiative.
He praised the efforts of the trust and said, "In today's time, it is very important to take children out of the world of mobile phones and connect them with the culture of books. This step of Sur Sangam Trust will definitely set an example." Local social workers and educationists have also welcomed this initiative and called it the need of the hour.
