Area around 5 km from international airport declared no-flying zone during Vice President's arrival: District Magistrate

In order to maintain law and order situation in view of his arrival, Ms. Ashika Jain, District Magistrate, Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, exercising powers conferred under Section 163 of Chapter 11 (C-Nuisance or Unexpected Danger) of the Indian Civil Security Code, 2023 (46 of 2023), has issued orders prohibiting the flying of drones in a semi-circular area of ??5 km around the International Airport and Indian School of Business, Knowledge City Sector 81 Mohali.
She has also declared this area as a no-flying zone. He said that there will be a complete ban on the flying of any kind of flying object in this area. He said that this order will not apply to flights approved by the Aviation/Defense Department. He issued the order and said that these orders will be applicable in the said area from 18 October 2024.
He said that Senior Police Captain Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar will ensure compliance of this order.
