Mohali - Sarpanch elections were recently held in Basma, a village in the district. In this election, the people of the village unanimously elected Gurdeep Singh Panwar as the new Sarpanch. These elections were conducted by the Panchayati Raj Commission.
The duties of the Sarpanch include working for the development of the village, solving the problems of the village, and working for the facilities of the people of the village.
The people of Basma village welcomed the new Sarpanch Gurdeep Singh Panwar by putting turbans and garlands of flowers around his neck and gave him their support. People said that they expect the new Sarpanch to work for the development of the village and solve the problems of the village.

Along with him, all the newly elected Sarpanch Panch Gurdeep Singh Pawar and his companions Harmesh Kumar Panch, Kulwinder Kaur Panch, Ladi Kaur Panch, Jasvir Kaur Panch, Surendra Singh Panch, Amarjit Kaur Panch, Baldev Singh Panch, Sukhwinder Singh Panch, also thanked the villagers on behalf of all of them who supported the whole village together. It was said that we will all join together and work for the welfare of the village and will bring Basma village to number one.
