SAS Nagar, September 30:-  In the run-up to the nomination process for the General Elections to Gram Panchayats, a total of 15 Candidates submitted their nominations for the post of Sarpanches while 16 for the post of Panches in SAS Nagar district on Monday, the second day of nominations. Divulging the details, the District Election Officer, Mrs Aashika Jain said that the block-wise break up of nominations includes one nomination in the Mohali block for the Sarpanch, two nominations for Sarpanches and seven nominations for Panches in Kharar block, Nine nominations for Sarpanches and four nominations for Panches in Derabassi block and three nominations for Sarpanches and five nominations for Panches. She said that the last date for the fíling of nominations for the Gram Panchayat Elections is October 4.
