Langar service organized at Regional Hospital Una on the birth anniversary of eminent educationist late Prof. Simmi Agnihotri

Una, September 30 - On the occasion of the birth anniversary of renowned educationist late Prof. Simmi Agnihotri, a langar service was organized at the Regional Hospital Una on Monday. Prof. Simmi Agnihotri's husband, the state's Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, specially participated in this noble work and he himself served food to the patients, attendants and hospital staff with his own hands. Along with this, he also distributed fruits to the people present.

On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Prof. Simmi Agnihotri's spirit of service towards the society has been exemplary. Her dedication and spirit to serve the sick, poor and needy is inspiring. Langar Seva has been organized on her birth anniversary with the resolve to carry forward the social work that she had started during her lifetime. The Deputy Chief Minister also thanked all the people involved in the langar seva on this auspicious occasion.
It is noteworthy that late Prof. Simmi Agnihotri was not only a great educationist but also had a deep dedication towards social service. She believed that the aim of education should not be limited to personal advancement but it is also important to contribute to the welfare of the society. She played an active role in serving the poor and needy, anti-drug movement, road safety campaign and other social works through Aastha Foundation.
Prof. Simmi Agnihotri was born on 29 September 1968, and completed her earthly journey on 9 February 2024. She was a Professor of Public Administration at Himachal Pradesh University and was respected across the state for her scholarship, leadership skills and social contributions. Her teaching and research work has had a profound impact on the education sector of the state, inspiring countless students.
A large number of people participated in the langar event and pledged to further strengthen the spirit of service and philanthropy in the society.
On this occasion, former MLA of Una Sadar Satpal Raizada, District President of Congress Ranjeet Rana, CMO Dr. S.K.
