Garhshankar, September 29 - "World Tourism Day" was celebrated at Nara Forest Rest House with the joint efforts of District Administration, Forest and Wildlife Protection Department, Hoshiarpur and Punjab Tourism Department. The program was organized by Madam Komal Mittal DC, Hoshiarpur on directions and forest department in which CF Dr. Sanjiv Tiwari was the chief guest and Nalin Yadav was present as the special guest.
On this occasion, Dr. Amandeep Singh, the founder of Mission K3, organized a night camping in Nara forest for nature lovers and presented the unique aspect of Punjab tourism in which 42 nature lovers participated. Night camping, sitting around the camp fire and trying to reconnect with the forest and wildlife through nature poetry, eating in the lap of nature, morning walks, listening to the lovely sounds of birds and nature meditation are very memorable for all.  Special attention was paid to all the arrangements and security in the forest by Raiz Officer Jitinder Rana, AYUSH, Forester Jasveer Singh, Gurmeet Singh and Tarsem Singh Mandyala. Environmentalist Man Gogia, Harinder Singh from Prithvi Welfare, Professor Dr. Meenakshi Menon, Naib Tehsildar (retd) Jasveer Singh, Sukhwinder Singh and owner Varinder Singh of Upstate added to the program by participating in it.
