 In which concerned Senior Medical Officers, LHVs, ANMs and Internal Committee members participated. Meanwhile, the two deaths that occurred during this month in district Hoshiarpur were reviewed. Discussing the occasion, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Anita Kataria said that after investigating the maternal deaths, these facts have come out that the cause of most of the deaths was high-risk pregnancy which was not taken timely treatment by the pregnant women. He said that a list of high-risk pregnant women should be prepared and their additional check-ups should be done so that the maternal mortality rate can be reduced by providing health facilities to them if necessary.
He asked the senior medical officers and other field staff to take necessary measures to reduce the maternal mortality rate. He said that early registration of every pregnant woman should be ensured. All his checkups like weight, blood pressure, diabetes, Hb, thyroid, hepatitis, scan, ECG and other necessary checkups should be done on time so that any problems that persist can be detected and treated. can be done On the 9th and 23rd of every month on PMSMA day, necessary check-ups and tests should be ensured by expert doctors of pregnant women at health institutions.
