
Farmers Who Manage Stubble Without Setting it on Fire to be felicitated by MLA and DC at Derabassi tomorrow
Derabassi (SAS Nagar), September 19, 2024:- Continuing its’ endeavours to boost the farmers managing stubble without setting it on fire, the District Administration and Punjab Pollution Control Board will felicitate about 50 such farmers at Derabsai (Lehli) tomorrow (Friday).
Derabassi (SAS Nagar), September 19, 2024:- Continuing its’ endeavours to boost the farmers managing stubble without setting it on fire, the District Administration and Punjab Pollution Control Board will felicitate about 50 such farmers at Derabsai (Lehli) tomorrow (Friday).
Divulging the details, the Environment Engineer, Punjab Pollution Control Board, Rantej Sharma said MLA Derabassi Kuljit Singh Randhawa would be the Chief Guest while Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain would preside over the function. Each farmer will be felicitated with a certificate, memento and a Shawl as a contributor to the Environment.
The program will be held at Nahar Industrial Premises, Village Lehli, Derabassi on Friday from 11:00 am onwards, he further added. He said that the felicitation of such farmers would further give a fillip to the District Administration’s campaign to sensitive the farmers to the hazards of burning paddy straw. The District has ample machinery for managing stubble that has been provided by the State Government under in-situ and ex-situ schemes, he further added.
