Banga - Janmashtami was celebrated with great reverence and pomp in Guru Mehar Das Ji Thakur Dwar Mandir of village Padddi Mathwali. Devotees from far and wide bowed their heads at this gate and received the blessings of God. The Mahant of the temple, Shri Vinod Kumar Sharma blessed the devotees and distributed prasad.
The program started with a havan yagya in the temple. Kushmakar Bhardwaj, the priest of Mata Sheetla Devi Temple of Banga, performed the havan yagya by worshipping with full rituals. After this, religious rituals were organized. In which the musical group of Master Omkar Govindpuri, Gurshan and Gurleen gave a wonderful performance with religious songs. They started the program with Shri Ganesh Vandana.
After this, they forced everyone to dance with songs like 'Dar pe Sudama Garib aa gaya hai', Nand Lala tere mandir mein prem pujari aaya hai', 'Saari duniya dekhta rahi', 'Menu chadh gaya aaj Mohan ka rang'. Children, young and old danced a lot on the songs of Omkar Govindpuri.
On this occasion Gaurav Bawa, Sarpanch Surinder Mohan, ASI Avtar Virdi, Film Director Honey Hardeep, Amarjit Singh, Surjit Singh, Charanjit Singh, Joga Singh, Sukhwinder Chhinda etc were also present.
