
National Natural Farming Mission will spend 5.60 crores in Una - Deputy Commissioner
Una, March 7- Under the National Natural Farming Mission, an amount of more than Rs 5 crore 60 lakh will be spent in Una district in two years. This amount will be used to provide training, technical assistance and necessary resources for agriculture to natural farming farmers this year and next year. Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal gave this information in the meeting of the District Level Monitoring Committee on Friday.

Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal gave this information in the meeting of the District Level Monitoring Committee on Friday.
He said that the objective of the National Natural Farming Mission is to provide healthy and nutritious food to the people by encouraging organic and natural farming. Under this mission, 80 clusters will be formed in the district, in which two Krishi Sakhis (CRP) will be deployed to train each group. Necessary instructions have been given to the Block Level Monitoring Committee in this direction. Apart from this, Bio-Input Resource Centers (BRCs) will be established to assist the farmers.
Una will have its own food product brand, marketing will be done at international level
After the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal said that Una district's own food product brand will be launched soon. The process regarding this is almost in the final stage. Under this brand, processing, packaging and marketing of agricultural products will be developed in accordance with international standards, so that farmers can get economic benefits on a large scale. For this, an MoU will be signed soon with a reputed institute. Also, a district level society is being formed for the effective operation of this initiative, in which there will be participation of farmer producer organizations, cluster level federations and other stakeholders.
In this meeting, Director of ATMA Project Virendra Bagga, Deputy Director Santosh Sharma, Deputy Director of Agriculture Department Dr. Kulbhushan, ARCS Rakesh Verma, DRDA Project Officer K.L. Verma, APMC Secretary Bhupendra Singh and many senior officers were present. Apart from this, other members of the committee including progressive farmers associated with natural farming, Krishna Devi, Savita Devi, Surekha Rani, Swarn Singh Dhillon, Vijay Kumar, Baljeet Singh, Praveen Sharma, Sushila, Pankaj Sandhu and Mitesh Sharma were also present in the meeting.
