Derabassi administration prepared for crop residue management arrangements

Derabassi (SAS0 Nagar), August 27:- To ensure that there is not a single case of stubble burning in Derabassi sub division, the sub divisional administration has already made preparations for crop residue management.

Derabassi (SAS0 Nagar), August 27:- To ensure that there is not a single case of stubble burning in Derabassi sub division, the sub divisional administration has already made preparations for crop residue management.
 Today Sub-Divisional Magistrate Dr. Himanshu Gupta held a meeting with baler operators producing straw bales and industrial units consuming straw bales at his office.
 SDM Gupta appealed to the baler operators and industrial units to make straw bales from the farmers' fields as soon as possible after harvesting so that the fields can be prepared for the next crop. He said that a sufficient number of dumping sites have already been identified to keep stock of straw bales in the villages of the sub-division.
 Emphasizing the coordination of baler operators and industrial units for smooth supply of bales from farmers' fields to dumping sites, he said it would help during peak season to prevent stubble burning.
 Others present in the meeting included Dr. Danish Kumar from Agriculture Department, Baler Operators Sukhdev Singh, Kulwinder Singh and Tejinder Singh, Nahar Chemical, Nachiketa Papers, YCD Gaurav Fuel and other industrial units.
