The Punjab government is working seriously to protect the environment - Brahm Shankar Jimpa

Hoshiarpur - Cabinet Minister Punjab Brahm Shankar Jimpa participated in the plantation program at SD City Public School Adamwal. On this occasion, he expressed his commitment towards environmental protection by planting saplings in the school grounds. He congratulated the members of the school management committee for their commendable contribution towards environmental protection and praised them for taking this initiative forward.

Mayor Surinder Kumar and Senior Deputy Mayor Praveen Saini were also present on this occasion. Addressing the programme, Cabinet Minister Jimpa said that plants are not only important for protecting the environment, but they also help in ensuring a clean and green environment for future generations. He said that the Punjab government is serious about environmental protection and is taking many steps in this direction. In this regard, for the first time under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, 38 lakh saplings have been provided to the district for planting.
Thanking the Chief Minister on this occasion, Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that this initiative is a big step in the direction of making the state green and clean. He said that it is the responsibility of every citizen to plant as many plants as possible and take care of them so that our earth remains green and healthy. On this occasion, the school management committee, principal and other staff members thanked the cabinet minister for choosing the school for this important task. He assured that the school administration will take proper care of the plants planted and the students will also be made aware of environmental protection.
At the end of the program Brahm Shankar Gimpa encouraged the students and staff of the school to spread awareness about plant care and plant more plants. He said that the government will organize many environmental programs in the near future, in which all the citizens should actively participate.
