Delay in development works will not be tolerated, DC warned

Patiala, August 1 - Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed Pare reviewed the development work being done by various departments in Patiala district and the new ones to be started during the meeting held at the district administrative complex. On this occasion, he took a report from the heads of the respective departments about the ongoing and newly started works in each constituency of Patiala district and said that if there is a need to start any new project for the development of the district. So his proposal should also be submitted.

 Municipal Commissioner Aditya Dechalwal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Dr. Harjinder Singh Bedi and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Navreet Kaur Sekhon were also present in the meeting. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner thoroughly reviewed the welfare schemes being run by the government and instructed the officials that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is taking continuous reports of the ongoing development works in the district and any kind of laxity in the ongoing works. will not be tolerated.
He said that in urban areas where there is a problem of parking in the markets, places for parking should be identified and the repair work of roads and streets should also be completed on time. The Deputy Commissioner said that the ongoing works should be expedited and progress reports should be sent to the Deputy Commissioner's office continuously while scheduling the works. He instructed the group of departments that those departments which involve more than one department in the development work should hold regular meetings so that the unnecessary delay in the work can be reduced and coordination can be ensured.
