Expressing these words, Bahujan Samaj Party Punjab President and former Rajya Sabha member Dr. Avtar Singh Karimpuri said that the happiness being expressed on the sanctioning of a loan of Rs 8500 crore by the AAP government of Punjab is the tragedy of Punjab. Those who used to talk about ending all the debt before the elections in 2022 are now happy after taking a loan of one lakh crore in three years. Karimpuri said that the state is sinking in debt and the government is happy.
The previous governments of Akali, BJP and Congress had burdened Punjab with a debt of Rs 2.74 lakh crore and the Aam Aadmi Party government has increased it by Rs 1 lakh crore in three years. He said that the AAP government has ruined Punjab economically by taking a loan of Rs 3 lakh crore in one year.
Karimpuri said that the AAP government has failed miserably in eliminating drug abuse. By opening liquor shops and branches in every village, the AAP government has spread drug abuse to every household. Opening liquor shops and branches in Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, the historical seat of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji, is a shameful proof of this.
Karimpuri said that the teachers are protesting but the government is distributing advertisements of education revolution. He said that there can be no revolution in education without full-fledged teachers in schools. Thousands of posts of masters and headmasters are lying vacant in schools, temporary teachers are struggling to become permanent.
Karimpuri said that people of Punjab should think about those who are ruining Punjab, reject them from Punjab politics and become a part of Bahujan Samaj Party's "Punjab Bachao Abhiyan" to bring Punjab out of this crisis.
