
Mann government is finding unnecessary mistakes without reading the Union Budget: Dr. Subhash Sharma
Chandigarh: Punjab BJP Vice President Dr. Subhash Sharma today launched a political attack on the Mann Government of Punjab and said that Aam Aadmi Party leaders should either read the Union Budget first. Or else one should understand about this budget from the economists and only after that one should make a statement about the budget. He said that those who are saying that Punjab did not get anything in the budget, they have not read the budget.

The job of these people is actually to find fault in everything and they only do politics of lies. Referring to the announcements made in the budget, Dr. Subhash Sharma said that the Union Finance Minister has announced the development of huge vegetable production clusters in the budget. It will benefit Rupnagar, Barnala and Ludhiana in Punjab as the demand for vegetables is very high there. Similarly, Rs 598 crore has been allocated for environment-friendly Krishi Budget in the Union Budget, which will greatly benefit Punjab.
In the budget, the Union Finance Minister has announced a credit guarantee scheme for MSMEs Which will prove to be beneficial for 1.6 lakh MSME units of Punjab and it will most benefit the businessmen of Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Amritsar. Dr. Subhash Sharma said that the limit of currency loan has been increased to 20 lakhs in the budget. Which will benefit the traders of Punjab. Apart from this, in the budget, the government has proposed to reduce the primary limit duty on down filling materials, giving relief to leather and garment manufacturers. and has also extended the list of exempted goods for manufacture of leather and garments for export, manufacture of footwear and other leather goods.
This will greatly benefit the leather and textile industry of Jalandhar. Dr Subhash Sharma said that Punjab received a total of Rs 122,537.11 crore in the financial year 2024-25, which is about 2 per cent of the net income distribution of central taxes and duties. In addition, a total of Rs 6,437.50 crore has been made for the Pradhan Mantri Annadata Ay Suraksha Yojana (PM-Asha). which will ensure that 10.93 lakh farmers of Punjab are given remunerative price for their crops.
In the budget, the Finance Minister has allocated funds of 832.03 crores for the Green National Highway Corridor Project With which the connectivity of Punjab with other states will increase and the infrastructure projects of Punjab will be greatly benefited. Dr. Subhash Sharma said that there is much more for Punjab in the budget
