This was expressed by SDM Hoshiarpur Preetinder Singh Bains during a meeting held with officials at the district administrative complex regarding the preparations for the district level Independence Day event. The SDM said that during the district level event, where the freedom fighters will be honoured, personalities with unique achievements will also be honoured. He said that in the event, the units of District Police, PRTC Jahankhel, Punjab Home Guards, NCC Scouts and Girls Guide will participate in the parade and march past. Meanwhile, mass PT shows by children of different schools and cultural program based on patriotism, tableaus showing development work by different departments will be the center of special attraction.
He said that rehearsals for the event will be held on July 8, 9 and 12 at the Police Line Ground, while the full dress rehearsal will be held on July 13.
