State level gathering related to Nasha Mukti Yatra will be held in Jalalpur on May 17.

Hoshiarpur- Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that a historic initiative is being taken to make Punjab drug free under the 'Yuddh Nasha Ke Viruddh' campaign. In this series, on May 17, Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Singh Mann and National Convener Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal will specially participate in the state level gathering under the Nasha Mukti Yatra organized in village Jalalpur of Tanda.

He was addressing the meeting of officials regarding the preparations of the gathering in the District Administrative Complex today. During this, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Nikas Kumar was also present with him. In the meeting, the officers of the concerned departments were instructed to complete the preparations related to the gathering in a timely manner.
The Deputy Commissioner said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Arvind Kejriwal will address the people at Sachin Palace in Jalalpur on May 17 at 11 am. He said that extensive arrangements are being made by the administration to make this historic gathering a success.
He told all the departments in detail about the work to be done by them and instructed that no shortcomings should be left in the preparations. On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner Oashi Mandal, SDM Hoshiarpur Gursimranjit Kaur, SDM Dasuha Kanwaljit Singh, SDM Harbans Singh, RTO Sanjeev Kumar, SP Major Singh, SP Navneet Kaur Gill, besides other administrative and police officers were also present.
