Hoshiarpur- The Governing Council meeting of District Employment and Enterprise Bureau (DBEE) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Chairperson Komal Mittal, in which the activities and progress of DBEE were reviewed.
During this, it was told that the District Employment and Enterprise Bureau is giving information about the schemes of various departments to the unemployed candidates, under which various departments send their employees to DBEE as per the roster. The Deputy Commissioner stressed on the need to promote the schemes of the Employment Department as much as possible to give information about various employment opportunities for the youth. It was decided to organize a career conference on self-employment in the meeting.
The officers of the School Education Department were also asked to organize a meeting under the Disha Project of Lovely Professional University, about which University officer Varun Nair gave information. The Deputy Commissioner also asked to give information on the school board to inform the school students about the work being done by the employment office.
Apart from this, he also directed to disseminate the information of DBEE schemes to the lower level through the Panchayat Department. He said that through joint efforts, employment opportunities can be ensured for unemployed youth and they can also be encouraged towards self-employment.
